Should pick up my new boat 5/30/2012. 203FS with a Yammie 150 four stroke. Only boat I've seen with back rest in the bow. That feature alone is what sold the wife, so I didn't have to sell her to hard on a new boat. Leave for Edisto Beach Saturday for a week to play and fish.

Edisto Beach is a beautiful area... be sure to take lots of pictures

Yep, I tell the dealers, "do not order the boat without those backrests". I spent a week in Edisto in '08. It's nice but the fish managed to hide very effectively. I'm sure they are there somewhere. If you find them please let me know where.

thanks folks, the boat looks sweeeeet. A lot more room than my 170cc. I got the itch to drop it in the water so bad I took an extra day's vacation this Friday. Plan on a madien voyage early Friday am. Early birthday present for me I guess, turn the big 5-0 Sunday. Edisto is a beautiful area with plenty of fish in certain places. last few years they have been elusive though. Will post some picks of the new ride and hopefully some fish picks next week.

still working on pics, will post shortly. Very impressed with the boat but wished the weather would have been better during our vacation. It rained every day except for the last day there. We did stay in the boat most of that day. The yammie 150 is fitted with the yamaha prop that it states on the performance report. So far it's living up to that performance report and then some. Me and the dog in the boat with a half tank of gas it ran around 54mph. Me and 3 large adults in the boat I can get between 45 and 48mph. A little fast I guess but it's nice to have the power there if you need it If I hold it around 5000 rpm it's doing 38 to 42mph and the engine is quiet as a whisper at that rpm. I have not had a chance to take the boat out since we have been back. Worked every weekend and again this weekend. Next weekend wife has plans for me as well. Itchin to take this jewel back out.

hardluck, good performance numbers. I only get 51mph from my 2012 203FS and I ordered it with a Yammie 200! When you get a chance to go out again, let me know what rpm's you turn. I must have the wrong prop on mine.
